P. Jeffrey Richards, MD

Surgery of the Hand & Upper Extremities

A graduate of Florida State University, Dr. Richards attended the University of Florida College of Medicine.  He received his residency training at Orlando Regional Medical Center before completing a fellowship in hand and upper extremity surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  His wife Joan is a native of Southwest Florida. 

After spending two years in practice in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, they moved back to the area to enjoy more time with family.  They are blessed with three beautiful children.  Along with our hand therapy department, he and Dr. Flores have formed the Hand Center of Excellence at Orthopedic Specialists. Dr. Richards is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand.
