Ronald D. Gardner, MD

Sports Medicine & Arthroscopic Reconstructive Surgery

A Montgomery, Alabama native, Dr. Gardner grew up in the South, spending time in Louisiana, Texas and Florida as well as his home state, where he attended Samford University in Birmingham and the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed a general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital, and then returned to Alabama for sports medicine fellowship training at the American Sports Medicine Institute & Orthopedic Center.

Dr. Gardner and his wife Allison, a court reporter, have resided in Fort Myers since 1990. He helped establish our Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement Centers of Excellence, and is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
