Reggie M. Augusthy, DO
Non-Surgical Treatment of Spine, Musculoskeletal and Pain Disorders
Dr. Augusthy is an
Interventional Physiatrist, board certified
by the American Board of Physical Medicine
and Rehabilitation. He specializes in the
non-surgical management of Spine,
Musculoskeletal and Pain disorders.
After growing up in Philadelphia, he
received his undergraduate degree in
Anthropology and Human Biology from Emory
University and his medical degree from Des
Moines University, College of Osteopathic
Medicine. He completed his residency in
Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the
University of Kansas Medical Center where he
was Cheif Resident. He went on for further
specialization during a Fellowship at the
Florida Spine Institute, gaining skills in
minimally invasive procedures to provide
pain relief. Dr. Augusthy
is married to a familiar face in SW Florida
- his wife, Sarah Augusthy, is the Morning
and Noon Anchor for WINK News. You can find
them on the weekends enjoying the Florida
lifestyle with their dog, a boxer named Roxi
Balboa. |

Antonio J. Flores, MD
Surgery of the Hand, Elbow & Shoulder
Dr. Flores grew up in
South Florida and received his degree in
Biomedical Engineering from Tulane
University, and his medical degree from
Tulane University School of Medicine. He
completed his orthopedic surgery training at
the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial
Hospital. Following his residency, Dr.
Flores completed a combined fellowship in
hand, elbow, and shoulder surgery at
Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Case Western
Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He
returned to South Florida where he and Dr.
Richards joined to form the Hand Center at
Orthopedic Specialists. Dr. Flores is
certified by the American Board of
Orthopedic Surgery. |

Paul D. Fuchs, DO
Surgical Treatment of Spinal Disorders
Dr.
Fuchs, a native of Miami, Florida, received his
undergraduate degree in Biology from Washington
University in St. Louis, and his medical degree
from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine
at Midwestern University. He completed
a general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery
training at the Medical College of Georgia. Following
his orthopedic residency, he completed his spine
surgery fellowship at the Stanford University/St.
Mary's Combined Spine Fellowship Program in Northern
California. Dr. Fuchs specializes in the
surgical treatment of spinal
disorders. He
and his wife Irene are proud parents of two sons,
Mark and Carson. Dr. Fuchs is certified by the
American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. |

Ronald D. Gardner, MD
Sports Medicine & Arthroscopic
Reconstructive Surgery A
Montgomery, Alabama native, Dr. Gardner grew
up in the South, spending time in Louisiana,
Texas and Florida as well as his home state,
where he attended Samford University in Birmingham
and the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He
completed a general surgery internship and an orthopedic
surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson
Memorial Hospital. He returned once again to Alabama
for sports medicine fellowship training at the
American Sports Medicine Institute & Orthopedic
Center. He and his wife Allison have resided in Fort Myers since 1990. Dr.
Gardner is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic
Surgery. |

Vidya P. Kini, MD
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation &
Electrodiagnostic Medicine
Dr.
Kini was raised in New Delhi, India and
moved to the United States to pursue her
post-graduate training. She is distinguished
with dual board- certifications in Physical
Medicine and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr.
Kini completed her internship in Internal
Medicine at Wayne State University School of
Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She completed
four years post-graduate residency training
in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at
the Medical College of Wisconsin in
Milwaukee, where she was Chief Resident and
appointed as Clinical Instructor. She
completed her board certification in
Electrodiagnostic Medicine and is now a
Fellow of the American Association of
Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic
Medicine.
Practicing in the Fort Myers area since 1989, Dr. Kini
is on staff at all area hospitals. She is an
active member of the Lee County Medical
Society, American Medical Association,
Florida Society of Physical Medicine &
Rehabilitation, and a member of the
Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports &
Occupational Medicine.
Dr. Kini is
the proud parent of daughter, Tara, born in

Patrick B. Leach, MD
Orthopedic Trauma Surgery
Dr. Leach grew up in Louisville, Kentucky.
He received his undergraduate degree in
Biology from Western Kentucky University and
his medical degree from the University of
Kentucky. He completed a general surgery
internship followed by an orthopedic surgery
residency at the Medical College of
Georgia. After a brief time practicing
general orthopedic surgery in Columbus,
Indiana, Dr. Leach left private practice to
complete a fellowship in orthopedic trauma
surgery at Palmetto Richland Hospital in
Columbia, South Carolina. There, he refined
his skills in the treatment of complex
fractures, including those of the pelvis and
hip joint. He then joined the faculty at
the Medical College of Georgia as a
specialist in orthopedic trauma surgery.
Dr. Leach moved to Fort
Myers in a unique opportunity to contribute
to and advance the growing trauma services
at Lee Memorial Hospital. Dr. Leach is
certified by the American Board of
Orthopedic Surgery. He is also a member of
the Orthopedic Trauma Association.

Fletcher A. Reynolds, MD
Sports Medicine & Joint Replacement of
the Shoulder, Hip & KneeDr.
Reynolds was born and raised on the New Jersey shore. His
family moved to Fort Myers while he was in college at Boston
University. He continued his medical school and orthopedic
surgery training at Boston University.
Dr. Reynolds completed a combined fellowship in Joint Replacement
and Sports Medicine at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute in New York
City. He has been very active during his training, serving
as a team physician for Boston University, USA Boxing, US Open Golf,
and the New York Knicks basketball team. He and his wife Fran
fell in love with SW Florida while visiting their family. They
are active in the community and the Lee County Medical Society Alliance. Dr.
Reynolds serves on the Sports Medicine Committee of the Lee County
Medical Society and is the team physician for Evangelical Christian
Football. Dr. Reynolds is certified by the American Board of
Orthopedic Surgery. |

P. Jeffrey Richards, MD
Surgery of the Hand & Upper Extremities A
graduate of Florida State University, Dr. Richards
attended the University of Florida College of Medicine. He
received his residency training at Orlando Regional
Medical Center before completing a fellowship in
hand and upper extremity surgery at the University
of Alabama at Birmingham. His wife Joan is
a native of Southwest Florida. After spending
two years in practice in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, they
moved back to the area to enjoy more time with
family. They are blessed with three beautiful
children. Along with our hand therapy department,
he and Dr. Flores have formed the Hand Center at
Orthopedic Specialists. Richards
is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and has
a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand. |

Jeremy A. Schwartz, MD
Foot & Ankle Surgery, Sports Medicine &
Joint ReplacementDr. Schwartz grew up in
South Florida and attended the University of
Miami where he received both his Bachelors Degree
and his Medical Degree. He then completed his
orthopedic surgery residency at Case Western
Reserve University/University Hospitals of Cleveland
in Cleveland, OH. Following his residency, Dr.
Schwartz completed a fellowship in Foot and Ankle
Surgery, including complex foot and ankle reconstruction,
at the Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa,
FL. Dr. Schwartz is certified by the
American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. |

Charles P. Springer, MD
Sports Medicine & Joint Replacement of
the
Shoulder, Hip & Knee Born
and raised in Philadelphia, Dr. Springer graduated
from Temple University's School of Medicine,
where he completed his orthopedic surgery
training and served as team physician to Temple's
Division I football and basketball teams. He
spent a year in fellowship training in sports medicine
and joint reconstruction of the shoulder, hip,
and knee in Orlando, Florida. While there,
he was an assistant to the team physicians of the Orlando
Magic. Certified by the American Board of
Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Springer has been serving
the community in Lee County since 2000. His
wife Jennifer is a part-time ER physician and
full-time mother to their two beautiful daughters
and two energetic sons. |

Allen C. Tafel, MD

Tafel grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. He received
his Biomedical Engineering degree from Tulane
University, and graduated from the University
of Louisville Medical School in 1990. He
completed his residency training at the University
of Cincinnati in 1994. Dr. Tafel is certified
by the American Board of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation. He specializes in electro-
diagnostic studies as well as non-surgical treatment
of spinal disorders and pain management.
