Occupational Medicine/Worker’s Comp
Orthopedic injuries can often be caused by work related accidents. The physicians at Orthopedic Specialists of SW Florida provide non-surgical as well as surgical management of work-related injuries. Our providers are all Work Comp certified by the State of Florida. We have a dedicated Work Comp team who work together with the physician, patient, nurse case manager, adjuster, and employer to coordinate the medical treatment plan of the patient.
It is very important to report your injury to your employer as soon as possible. Even the most minor of injuries can develop into major health problems. Your employer should report your injury to their Worker’s Compensation carrier who will then assign an adjuster to your claim. This adjuster should direct you as to where to go to seek medical treatment.
Our focus is on early determination of your diagnosis, and development of a personalized treatment plan in order to allow for a more rapid recovery (results will vary by individual). We offer comprehensive services including professional evaluation & management, full body accredited MRI, physical & occupational therapy including certified hand therapists, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and injections.
Please contact our work comp department for more information or to schedule an appointment. We will make every effort to work with you, and your work comp carrier to assist in the management of your care.
